The team at Miko recently manufactured and installed one of our Wave Covered Walkways at Gibside School, a local school in Gateshead. The Wave Canopy provides much needed shelter for parents, staff, and pupils, measuring 10.5 x 4m. The school are so happy with the canopy, that they would already like to extend it in both directions!
Our wave canopies offer a practical yet stylish shelter solution to any school or business. The roof cladding is available in a range of materials, with Gibside opting for a 16mm clear multi wall polycarbonate. All of our shelters are galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461:2009 by Metaltreat Galvanizers , followed by powder coating by Elite Powder Coatings Ltd. !
The school decided to match the canopy colour with the existing building flashings, RAL 7016 (Anthracite Grey). Miko also manufactured the aluminium guttering to suit, and powder coated it to match the steelwork RAL colour.
